Now that the new SAT for Danville and the rest of the country has been out officially, it means making new adjustments to how you practice for the test. That’s why it’s imperative to find new practice tests that have similar content and uses the same strategy as the revised SAT.

When you are looking for the most legitimate and official practice test material, look nowhere else than the College Board itself, the institution behind the SAT. Visit the College Board’s official website (https://www.collegeboard.org/) you will find links to the official redesigned SAT practice tests, answer keys, essays, scoring, plus practice tips and strategies.

However, you may have noticed that there is a shortage of free official SAT prep tests available on the College Board website. But the good news is, you don’t have to worry because there are lots of other sources where you can get your revised SAT prep material.

  • Princeton Review — (https://www.princetonreview.com/college/free-sat-practice-test) – If your aim is to get into one of the prestigious Ivy League universities like Princeton, you can start on the road by availing of their SAT practice test course for absolutely free! You can also enroll in their free practice tests and seminars/webinars — you can view the schedule of the events to help you arrange and plan your SAT practice test calendar.
  • Khan Academy – (https://www.khanacademy.org/) – Khan Academy offers free SAT prep materials that consist of a collection of officially redesigned SAT items and questions. Their material is approved by the College Board. All you have to do is to sign up for an account to gain access to these resources. Like many official SAT prep sites, Khan Academy’s official SAT prep tracks your progress as you go with your practice. This is especially recommended for more focused studying since the lists of lessons and question items are arranged by type.
  • Old SAT prep material – Now that the new and revised SAT is officially out, you may think that the old SAT test prep isn’t good to use any longer. You can still find a lot of good material that will still prove helpful in your studying. If you decide to include the old SAT test prep, you should keep in mind the major changes made from the old SAT to the new SAT. For instance, the new SAT emphasizes more on algebra and less on geometry like the old SAT did. Unlike the writing section on the old SAT, the writing section in the new SAT comes in a passage-based format to test your grammar skills. You will find more differences (than similarities) between the old SAT and the new SAT along the way as you go about in your practice.
  • PSAT practice test prep – There is also the PSAT practice test material which you can also use since it resembles the redesigned SAT a little.

You can also use unofficial free SAT tests you can find on the Internet. A word of caution, though: they are not approved or sanctioned by the College Board. Most of these unofficial SAT practice tests are not good quality, but if you want to include them in your SAT practice agenda, do it at your own risk.

These free SAT practice test programs help you maximize your strengths and deal with your weaknesses to get the SAT score you’ve ever dreamed of. Remember that they can vary in terms of quality, so it’s your decision whether to incorporate any of them into your SAT Danville practice plan.
