SAT Junior program with Test Format, Weekly Class at Apex Martinez

A weekly program for 8 - 9th graders who want to build their SAT skills. This class will help high-achieving 8th graders prepare for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Talent Search, while allowing 9thgraders to get a head start on preparing for the SAT.

The class will:

• introduce students to the SAT format and help them get familiar with the 3 sections: Critical Reading, Math, and Writing
• build essential academic skills (vocabulary, analytical writing, critical thinking, problem-solving) that are necessary for success on the SAT and at school
